In Istanbul, where East meets West in a city of 18 million people, it is easy to lose one’s identity.
Life on the Bosphorus today is an ongoing battle between tradition and modernity as Istanbul searches for itself; a battle played out under the gaze of millions of strangers.
As one of those strangers I am humbled by the grace with which its people continue to live their lives despite the uncertainties of this time.
