Breezy Knees Gardens

If you fancy a fun day out at Breezy Knees gardens near York photographing flowers, statues, water features and unique viewpoints and vistas, whilst learning new skills with your camera, then this workshop is for you.

The photographic workshop will be tailored to beginners and enthusiasts. We will look at the rules of composition (and how to break them!). You will learn about correct exposure, how to blur the background to make your flower and statue portraits “pop” plus how to shoot in tricky lighting conditions such as bright sunlight or low light levels. We will also look at how to use our shutter speed to freeze and blur moving water, to give your images drama.

Val specialises in teaching in a fun, jargon-free practical way. Val has been awarded the internationally respected Distinction Associate of the Royal Photography Society (ARPS) which recognises a high standard of both technical and creative skills in photography.
