Action Photography
If you fancy a fun day out at Harewood Speed Hill Climb capturing all of the motorsports action whilst learning new skills with your camera, then this workshop is for you.
Harewood Hillclimb offers fantastic vantage points with no fencing to block your shots. Cars vary from vintage classics to race cars and modified production cars, there is something to suit everyone. Each car races individually against the clock, with practice sessions in the morning and the races in the afternoon.
The photographic workshop will be tailored towards beginners and enthusiasts. We will look at how to use our shutter speed to freeze and to blur motion so as to give your images drama, including perfecting panning techniques. You will learn about correct exposure, composition plus how to shoot in tricky lighting conditions such as bright sunlight or low light levels.
Val specialises in teaching in a fun, jargon-free practical way. Val has been awarded the internationally respected Distinction Associate of the Royal Photography Society (ARPS) which recognises a high standard of both technical and creative skills in photography.

Facilities: There are catering facilities on track days, plus parking facilities.
Equipment: Please bring your digital camera, a charged battery (plus a spare battery if you have one), memory card and cash for parking and lunch. Wear suitable clothing and footwear. Bring a zoom lens if you have one.
