Animal Photography

If you fancy a fun day out at Yorkshire Wildlife Park photographing the only polar bears currently in England, plus a host of other animals, including meerkats, lemurs, lions, tigers, wallabies and giraffes, whilst learning new skills with your camera, then this workshop is for you.

The photographic workshop will be tailored towards beginners and enthusiasts. We will look at the rules of composition (and how to break them!). You will learn about correct exposure, how to blur the background to make your animal portraits “pop” plus how to shoot in tricky lighting conditions such as bright sunlight or low light levels.

Val specialises in teaching in a fun, jargon free practical way. Val has been awarded the internationally respected Distinction Associate of the Royal Photography Society (ARPS) which recognises a high standard of both technical and creative skills in photography.
